Library

Purpose
The role of the library is to provide a facilty and service which supports both the curricular and recreational information and reading needs of the school community, to assist students to become confident, independent and effective users of different information resources, to promote and encourage an interest and enjoyment in reading, and to create and maintain an inclusive environment which is welcoming and respectful towards people of all ages, levels and backgrounds.  We do this by:

• Providing a safe environment to quickly access relevant, authoritative print and electronic resources that support curriculum topics
• Offering students the opportunity to publish work on the internet
• Providing research support materials
• Promoting reading
• Providing remote access to the library and information.
