2027 Specialist Classroom Teacher (Permanent) 
with (Fixed-Term) SENCO Responsibilities (2 fixed-term units)

Are you a dynamic, highly skilled educator looking to make a transformative impact? We are offering an exciting, newly created opportunity for an experienced practitioner to join our team as a Specialist Classroom Teacher with attached fixed-term SENCO responsibilities.

As part of a cutting-edge new initiative, you will lead the implementation of a hybrid learning model, bridging the gap between mainstream classrooms and a dedicated specialist teaching space. Because of the vital SENCO component, this position brings you directly onto our Senior Leadership Team (SLT), giving you a key voice in shaping school-wide inclusive education policy and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

●        Specialist Teaching & ORS: Deliver tailored instruction for ORS and High & Complex Needs (HCN) students.
●        IEPs & Collaboration: Partner with staff and whānau to design and monitor IEPs.
●        SENCO & SLT Leadership: Join the Senior Leadership Team to lead inclusive education and SENCO services.
●        Hybrid Learning Model: Facilitate transitions between home room classrooms and specialist spaces.
●        Whānau Bridge: Connect families, staff, and external support agencies effectively.
